Maud Borup

CASE STUDY

Big Impact. Small Budget.

We served as art director, producer, photographer, stylist, and retoucher for the project, leading the work from concept through final delivery. The scope included brand photography, e-commerce and lifestyle imagery, visual identity development, and scrappy, budget-conscious production. Maud Borup needed a cohesive, ownable visual identity that would stand out across retail partners, direct-to-consumer channels, and trade presentations, all while working within very limited production resources.

THE APPROACH

I transformed a literal back room into a functioning photo studio, using lighting and styling solutions to deliver high-impact images on a shoestring budget.

We produced and shot both lifestyle and e-commerce imagery for use across their site, social platforms, and retail partnerships including Target, Walmart, Big Lots, and Macy’s.

THE RESULT

What started as back-room photography became the backbone of a national brand’s presence. From vendor listings to aisle end-caps to billboards on wheels.

The visuals supported growth into new retailers, helped elevate their seasonal campaigns, and gave internal teams a stronger sense of brand pride (evidenced by the office walls and semi trucks now wearing my work).
